Objectify me…Please! August 28th, 2008

Something that I don't write about that often is industrial design. It's not that I don't enjoy it or don't think that it is as important as other types of design, it's just that I don't know that much about it. And, to be honest, I'm not going to really write about it today either. However, I will show you some information pertaining to a film about industrial design. Objectified is a 'look at the creativity at work behind everything from toothbrushes to tech gadgets'. from director Gary Hustwit, who brought us the fabulous film Helvetica, this film is set to be released in early 2009. I for one will be checking it out as soon as I can find a screening of it near me. Learn more about the film here.

I would also like to mention that the website has some excellent typography, not only the Header but also the hierarchy of type and I especially enjoy the comments. If you're looking for a good role model for your blog, check it out, copy it, change it a little, and call it your own ;-)
